Library Manager

This is a professional library position accountable for managing a library in state facilities. Employees plan and direct library services and all related operations of the library program by evaluating, selecting, and ordering library materials and equipment. Employees may be accountable for training and supervising assistants, volunteers, offenders, or client helpers.

Knowledge, skills & abilities

Knowledge of library procedures and practices along with the necessary bibliographic and reference tools.  Ability to plan and implement the operation of a facility or agency library.

Typical qualifications

Bachelor’s degree. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
