Educational Counselor
This is a professional position accountable for collecting, organizing, and interpreting information appropriate to understanding student academic and vocational abilities, aptitudes, interests, and other personal attributes as they relate to providing a program of individualized education. Employees are responsible for administering, scoring, and interpreting individual intelligence and vocational tests; conferring with staff placement of students in educational or vocational programs; and adapting educational programs to fit student needs, abilities, and conditions.
Knowledge of principles and practices of educational, occupational, and personal counseling, guidance, and assessment. Ability to evaluate students and assist them in achieving their objectives.
Master’s degree. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
