This is a supervisory position responsible for assisting in the planning, direction, and coordination of regulatory, promotional, or assistive services and programs affecting agricultural or agribusiness industries in the state. Duties may be in areas such as animal health, plant industries, weights and measures, grain inspection and warehousing, and/or market development or promotion. Employees at this level are also responsible for budget and grants management. Employee supervision includes hire decisions, training oversight, performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline.
In addition to those identified in the previous levels: Ability to supervise, plan, and evaluate lower-level employees.
Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of experience in agricultural programs. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
