This is a mid-level professional position. Employees at this level evaluate existing or potential economic projects in the state for financial feasibility of community and business development. Employees recommend and establish program standards for evaluating opportunities and provide oversight of complex market research and development of market strategies. Employees also present information to public and private officials.
In addition to those identified in the previous level: Knowledge of economic development practices, policies, and statutes at the local, state, national, and international levels. Ability to conduct market research, and develop strategies to achieve established goals and objectives.
Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
