A Senior Engineering/Architectural Project Manager is accountable for highly complex projects which have a statewide impact in the fields of engineering and/or achitecture. Projects managed are typically multi-year and multi-faceted as well as the largest in terms of size, scope, complexity, and impact on the State. Responsible for project planning, which may include developing project plans and timelines. Oversees project team’s activities, identifies appropriate resources, and is held accountable for deliverables and measuring project outcomes. May also oversee the activities of external contractors. An employee in this position frequently interacts with state officials and other stakeholders. Such positions may require incumbents to oversee other project managers.
In addition to those identified in the previous level: Ability to delegate tasks, promote teamwork, set goals, and resolve conflicts.
Bachelor’s degree and 7 or more years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
