This Capitol Police supervisory/managerial position is accountable for managing and supervising permanent, seasonal, temporary, and volunteer employees in the protection of the building and grounds of State office buildings and properties. Oversees security for the Governor and family, elected officials, state employees, and the general public. Employee supervision includes hire recommendations, training, planning and assigning work, performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline. Supervision at this level also requires these jobs to have the knowledge and skills to perform and review the work overseen.
In addition to those identified in the previous levels: Ability to plan, establish, and maintain complex security programs. Ability to coordinate a law enforcement and security program with community and governmental agencies.
Possession of a Peace Officer license and 5-7 years of relevant experience.
