This is a managerial position accountable for staff planning and developing, implementing, and evaluating a statewide emergency management program. Work at this level is primarily focused on supervision and program implementation, requiring thorough knowledge of State and Federal regulations and laws, and the ability to address program related operational issues. Accountable for the results of a program’s outcomes and integration. Manages and engages in effective people management activities such as recruitment, training, development, and performance management.
In addition to those identified in the previous levels: Ability to manage and/or supervise staff in planning, developing, coordinating, and evaluating all phases of a department wide emergency/disaster management program.
Bachelor’s degree, 6 or more years of relevant experience, and 2 or more years of supervisory experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
