This is a first-level inspection & compliance supervisor position accountable for overseeing the activities of a crew or group of employees assigned to an area/district and who are involved in the daily compliance inspection and enforcement activities. Employee supervision includes hire recommendations, training, planning and assigning work, performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline. Supervision at this level also requires these employees to have the knowledge and skills to perform the work overseen.
In addition to those identified in the previous levels: Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective supervision and training, and employee evaluation. Ability to organize, plan, and supervise the work of inspection staff. Ability to comprehend contractual language and requirements.
Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
